How often should fire doors be inspected?
BS 9999 recommends that fire doors are inspected at least every six months, with doors in high-traffic areas checked more often. In residential buildings over 11 metres, the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 require communal fire doors to be checked every three months and flat entrance doors to be checked once a year.
